The Hudnall offers several planetarium shows, programs, and astronomy-related events suitable for public, private, and home school groups.  These include programs prepared specifically for display in the Hudnall’s 30 ft domed theater, activities designed to teach astronomy concepts, and events sponsored by the Hudnall for purposes of education and public outreach.  For a more complete listing of program offerings, click here.

There is a minimal fee associated with programs and events at the Hudnall.  This nominal fee is used only to cover expenses.  We work very hard to keep this fee low.  For a list of current fees, scroll to the bottom of the Programs page.

Parking

When visiting the Hudnall, free parking is available.  However, you must remember that we are located in the heart of one of the biggest and busiest Junior Colleges in Texas – finding an available parking space may require additional time.  There are a few visitor parking spaces directly in front of the planetarium.  Additional parking is available along Palmer Street to the east of the Hudnall.  Busses should use this parking area.  Click here for a campus map.

Time

A typical visit to the Hudnall will consist of one hour inside the Hudnall’s 30’ domed theater.  However, when planning a trip, please allow time for parking and walking to and from the planetarium.  This shouldn’t add too much time to your visit, but you will probably want to plan this into your schedule.  Please plan to arrive inside the planetarium a few minutes before the time your show is scheduled to start.  If you arrive early, you will have time to enjoy our display exhibits.
